BOOM didn’t come from a plan. It came at 4am during a thunder and lightning storm on 4/9/26—what I can only describe as a download. A clear name for something I’ve been moving through in this season of life. Becoming older. Older me. Not in age, but in awareness. In truth. In the inability to keep performing what no longer fits. This episode is Part 2 of Aging Out of Fucks—and I’m sharing something that feels deeply aligned with what I’m currently writing inside BOOM. A Substack article I came across that puts language to what so many women are quietly experiencing: The shift in perception when your brain is fully developed. The veil lifting. The refusal to over-explain, over-function, or over-accommodate just to keep things smooth. It’s that internal “middle finger” to people-pleasing that starts showing up in real time—in relationships, work, identity, and how you move through the world.
